Our World as We Know It
Our World as We Know It
When I peer out my window, what is seen?
Tall monochrome structures that cast shadows,
a thickness of air that coats our whole earth,
and a void of all that is natural.
How is it that we were able to do this?
Stomp out the natural cycle of chaos
to put up a broken society
filled with: war, poverty, hunger, and death.
Humans kill those around them for sins of
lust, wrath, greed, envy, gluttony, sloth, and pride
when they are only feuding with themselves,
passing those injuries onto our world
scouring her beauty for all to see.
Vain beings we are, conquering nature;
overtaking land not meant for humans.
Where trees are to grow tall, ancient, and wise
shading those below that traverse a path
leading down to the crystal clear river
where her creatures drink, hunt, live and frolic.
But we have destroyed that serene image
beyond any visible recognition
and we continue not really caring,
But there are some, few in number who try
as one so

All About Me
I like to help people get through their problems. People say that is very kind and thoughtful and I even say it myself, but I know it is just a selfish thought. I try to distract myself from my own problems by helping people fix theirs, but like most people, including myself, they keep their feelings inside. Like how I am not 100% sure of my sexuality. I am interested in girls, but I have am unsure about the rest... I distract myself with other things music, books, TV, movies, and even work. Even though I distract myself from problems it can’t help the fact that they eat at me like a horrible flesh eating virus, that for every time I cover up a wound it gets bigger instead of healing. I even see a cure so close and within my grasp, but I don’t want to get it because there is a wall of fire around it. I don’t realize that for a short second of pain I can be healed of agony. Or there is the other way... I have even thought about it before... Almost everyday... Sad really,

Literature
Double Heroccino
Have you ever asked yourself, “Would you ever kill someone?” If I asked another person they would just laugh and call me crazy, but when I ask myself the same question more pop up. Like Why? Why Would I do it?
To protect someone, replies a calm voice.
As look up at myself in the glass and see the empty look on my face I ask, Who? Who would I protect?
The person you care for the most, responds the voice so softly.
As I recall my past and my present my face changes to that of annoyance, That doesn’t really help me.
Sorry... I can’t tell you more than what you already know. The final comment made me stop and like when you wake up from a nightmare you can’t remember my mind becomes silent. I can’t remember if it was the sound of a woman screaming or the fact that I was having a conversation with a voice in my head that made me look through the glass and into the coffee shop.

They say some of the greatest things in your life are firsts and that may be true, but there are other things that set themselves apart in a whole new way. Those things are better than firsts, better than lasts, better that what you think is the best. Those things are Wonderful and will be forever.
